Police Search For 2 Suspects In String Of Brooklyn Store Robberies

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police on Monday were asking the public to help them find two men wanted in the robberies of three stores in southern Brooklyn.

The incidents happened between Saturday, Oct. 5, and this past Sunday in the Coney Island and Sheepshead Bay sections of Brooklyn. Police have released a surveillance image and video of the suspects.

The robbers targeted one store multiple times, and seemed to favor cigarettes as their loot of choice.

The first incident happened around 3 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the A.H. & F Grocery store at 2811 Ocean Ave. Three men stormed in, flashed a gun, tied up the clerk and took cartons of cigarettes.

On Tuesday, Oct. 22 around 3:30 a.m., one robber struck again at the A & H Deli at 1202 Avenue Z. He flashed a gun and took money and cigarettes.
